That wouldn't be good. The Norse gods are known to be cranky. Speaking of which, time to appease Thor. The one to watch out for is Loki. Better think of a day honoring the Trickster or all bets are off. He's got it in for rocks since he was bound to one by the entrails of his sons as punishment for offending Thor and the other gods.

Daughter’s cat is Loki. It fits! He is a sweetheart.

Yep. really don't want to tick him off. The Trickster God has a sense of humor that is different from what the rest of us consider funny.... Apparently, Saturday is sacred to Loki. I had always hears it was named for Saturn, but that may not be the case: loki-in-myth.tumblr.com/post/32611775470/lokis-daySome ideas for posting things he would enjoy Serpentine: he like snakes and the color green (especially dark green... also black and gold) He also likes chaos, so crazy lace agate, anything brecciated, etc. mightwork

A perfect name for a rambunctious cat.

amygdule that is some cool stuff. My son found some material very similar to the Newport Blue at Patrick’s Point. That brown one... is it coral? stardiamond OJ? Very nice, whatever it is.

Those are some sweet sweet orbs you all posted! The oregon stones are seriously beautiful. I've got to get up to the northwest again someday. It's so beautiful there and such cool rocks.

I've been waiting for Orbicular Odin's Day all week long! (Well, three days to be more accurate! LOL) Pics from a couple different Fairburn Agates I found lately...

Here is a red stone with black orbs. I acquired one small slab and don't know where its from. Hopefully someone will identify!

My wife wouldn't let me cut the smaller slab, so I bought a larger one that was similar but not as nice.

I just picked up some material for cabbing off a great member on the forum and I keep showing pieces to my wife. I keep getting this whiny (there's no more appropriate word for it), "Awwww...you're going to cut that piece?" with EVERY piece I show her! LOL

Anything that can be replaced can be cut. Any cab that can be remade can be sold. I can't replace the small OJ slab and therefore I can't remake the cabs that were made from it.
