Ok, so I admit it. I am addicted to Yankee Candles. I just got four new ones (with a coupon, of course, and one was a gift for me). I like the earthy ones. I love the woodsy, green, nature smells. Patchouli is one of my favs, too. I just ordered the wood wicks. The newest in their line up. They crackle like you have a fire place. I got Sage and Myrrh, Vanilla Toffee (on a lark), Humidor and Stone washed suede. Now I have to rotate out a few. My daughter gets the ones that are burned down to the very bottom. I don't like to burn them that low. She puts them on a warmer. My other daughter gets the ones I'm sick of. They are nice, just over them.
Anyone else into candles and what scent(s)?

Around here, we start scenting the house during the holidays and cooler months with both candles and pot warmers, spicy and woody seem to be what everyone likes. Not to sweet or heavy aroma's. We switch up flavors all the time to keep it interesting. Like many, any of the burned down candles we enjoy are thrown into the warmers later. As far as brands go, Scentsy, Better Homes and Gardens, Harvest Reflections are what we find most available and inexpensive that don't have that artificial lamp oil texture and scent.
When the kids were young and interested in projects, we used to make our own from scratch. Palm, coconut and lanolin oils, binders and natural flavors oils. I still have a ton of molds, wax, funnels, wicks and a couple of heaters in a box I bring out during the holidays and play with........Thanks for reminding me......lol

I burn them more in winter, too. I get Yankee Candles because I can always great sales or coupons. I get them online.
I made candles when I was a kid. It was a lot of fun. Maybe I should take it up again.

I'm addicted to Bath and Body candles.
I tend to lean towards the fruity and baked goods scents
Right now I'm burning The Perfect Christmas which is Pine, cinnamon, sugar, & marshmallows
At one point I had a nice stock pile going but haven't accumulated much since moving.
Semi annual sale will be here soon and ill be adding more

I'd love to start making my own. I have a urge to make soaps too

We used to have a Bath & Body Works store in the mall. I literally had to walk across to the other side of the mall when passing it. I couldn't stand to walk right in front of the door. For some reason, the smell was just so overpowering to me. So if I were choose my "favorite" candle scent...and yes, it's such a "guy" thing, it would be....drum roll please:
