It may be too late for the East Coast US, but Central is just about this time. Mountain and Pacific are coming up in the next hour or so for best viewing. Look west starting around early dusk to see Jupiter and Saturn's visual conjunction, which is something that does not happen all that often. Below is a pretty decent video regarding where to look and what to look for. Merry Christmas!

My wife and I saw it in the SW sky. We checked it out with binoculars and could see the separation between the two stars, but it definitely looked like one star with the naked eye.

We've been watching them get closer and closer for over a week now. Have to say, though, it's pretty underwhelming.

It's so cloudy here I guess we will have to wait 400 or so years for the next time, and hope for better weather.

My son just got a really, really nice telescope and was so anxious for this event. Alas, it was totally cloudy last night. A real bummer. He wanted to share this event with the family. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

I was fortunate enough to witness this event from several vantage points coming home from Utah yesterday evening..........regrettably, none of the photo's I stopped to take are much to gleam. I had my Nikon with me, but only the 28-80mm lens, so the images are sharp and clean but very small. At least I recorded history, but unless you know what you're looking at, the scale of my pic's don't transfer well and I lose quality when enlarged to a point where one does not need to ask the question......what the heck is this........lol

Once in a lifetime opportunity. I'd trade what I saw last night for a nice telescope. There is *so* much more to see out there.
