Time to get yourself one of those bicycle baskets so you can haul home your finds.
Cute narwhal!

I was out cycling today enjoying the sunny weather and found a neat gravel road to check out. I found this pretty little flint and marble along the road. Sadly, I didn't have any pockets large enough to carry them out with me so I... WENT BACK, RIGHT?

When I was in college I borrowed a bicycle from a friend for a 5 mile trek to a local mine. This bike has a small racing seat and I picked up about 50# of rock and put them in my backpack. Needless to say when I got back I could hardly walk for a week. I learned "don't pick up rocks when cycling."

I was hoping to get back there today when it warms up. Right now it's still 31°... That's a bit chilly to enjoy cycling. I'm a whimp rmf is right. I've hauled pounds and pounds of rock out of the creeks while I'm cycling. It's really bad for your back if you're on a road bike. Ya know, looking at that picture I think I'm going to have to go get the Narwhal too lol

You're absolutely right! I've seen some folks that go metal detecting use saddlebags on their bikes to haul their goodies. I thought it was pretty clever.

It was the only thing I could think of where I knew there was a basket on a bike! She actually has 2. LOL!
