Welcome from Virginia. There are a couple current members from Maryland. I can't remember who, though. Maybe they'll find this thread.

Welcome from Ontario Canada. I have a good friend in MD. You might know him on Youtube: Aquachigger. He has also found quartz crystals there.

Hi,
I used to live in Maryland. Now in Texas (not the fun part). In Maryland you can find quartz and pretty stones that are pre rounded (in stream areas) that take a lot less time in the tumbler. Also to be found Native American artifacts and colonial goodies. Soldiers delight is fun for serpentine. And don't forget fossil hunting, shark tooth, bones and shells. tektite hunting too on certain Chesapeake bay beaches. Lots of great stuff to find in Maryland! Welcome to the forum!

danielsan52,
So I looked up Lake Shore, fun. We lived on the South River in Edgewater for a long time. My parents always thought Gibson Island was the ultimate in posh living.
Soldiers delight is really interesting and a great place to hike. We lived near Oregon Ridge in Hunt Vally which is fun to visit as well, it was a marble mine. And I still have bags full of all the treasures found on south county beaches.
Please report back as I am stuck in Houston where all we have are highways, strip malls and ditches that they call bayous.
Take care and have fun!

Yes I am just to the left ( lol ) of Gibson Island, the gated zip code I have only ever been on once! Will definitely report back with my Soldiers Dight findings. Thanks for the Oregon Ridge I for too!
