Looking for advice. I want to glue bell caps on some ¾” to 1.25” quartz spheres. Used some GS Hypo cement. Roughed the surface of a sphere and the surface of the cap. Had previously shaped the cap to fit the contour of the sphere. Held the cap in place for about a minute, before placing on a sphere holder. When I checked 2 hours later. The cap was not glued to the surface. It was mostly sitting on top of the dried cement. In the past, I have had good luck with the GS Hypo gluing to flat surfaces. Would it be better to fabricate something to hold the sphere in place and drill a hole for an eye up? The spheres have some fractures, so am afraid they will break apart. Is there a better type of cement to use? I liked the appearance of the bell cap, but would resort to using eye ups and be extra slow drilling. Thank you. Here is a photo of a sphere with one of the unattached bell caps.

I agree with e6000. I'd heard good things about the kind you tried first and didnt have much luck with it. I got e6000 after that and didnt run into any further issues
