Not really much of a trip report, so sharing here. The person who provides boxes of free rocks for mostly rock painting, but some for lapidary, has started again. I had to drive past his place on way to daughters, so stopped by. Here are some photos of the lapidary quality ones I took. Also took a few for rock painting. He had about 50 rocks in bins for anyone to take. Feel that both of these have potential.

That's pretty neat that someone is willing to be giving away free rocks. I get free rocks too...but I have to roam the ranges to find mine.

But Jason, these are domestic rocks and yours are free range rocks.

That's pretty neat that someone is willing to be giving away free rocks. I get free rocks too...but I have to roam the ranges to find mine. He had boxes out all last Summer. We had hoped to get together to look through the large pile of rocks/gravel his neighbor has, but it didn't work out. Most of the rocks were taken by rock painters. I let him know that some of the rocks could be used for lapidary. He is interested in learning more about what "good rocks" look like.

Let's see what the slabs look like. Cut em up. Planning on doing once I can get my utility room renovated and install lapidary equipment there.
