I have previously posted a thread asking how long to run the coarse cycle and have been told that beach stones can be tumbled smooth I around two weeks. I have also heard that hard materials like jasper and agate can take one month to several in order to produce a highly polished smooth stone. I am going to try two weeks for the first cycle on my Lakeshore finds and harder stones until they are both very smooth. So far I have run every cycle preceding the first for a week. Is that sufficient? Thanks!

I change the grit weekly even if I have to run coarse step for a month. I haven’t tried two weeks straight.
