Wow! I do see some great cabs in the making. Right!?! Thanks Perk! I've got so much other material in the queue, I need to somehow prioritize a lot of these pieces.

Thanks Al! I have all my material separated into ziplock bags with a tag inside the bag identifying each material...each material gets put into its own individual bag...so this hodge podge is going to drive me crazy not being labeled - and all in the same gallon ziplock bag! LOL

I see nothing wrong with those, Jason jasoninsd! They'll keep you busy and out of trouble for awhile, anyway. I know you'll enjoy working on them. Hoping for good weather for you later this week. Nothing worse than rain on clay, unless you are driving something with a track! Otherwise, slip-and-slide city, lol. Not too much fun.

I don't know about keeping me out of trouble...it seems to find me no matter what! LOL I should have taken a "before" pic. I really didn't think there was much of anything worth working until I cleaned them up and sliced some edges off. Thanks for the weather well-wishes. Fingers crossed.

Sagenite burst or pom pom and sagenite fibrous formation in same position in picture number 5 is my guess. Texas Needle Peak and Mexico have similar material. Several other pieces look like they might have come from the same area.

Quite awhile ago I purchased an inexpensive...I could say cheap...lot of "stuff". Since this is a family oriented forum, that's the "S" word I will choose to use here. - What I saw was "stuff" when I got it...but now I can see there's some pretty cool pieces in here. I spent several hours going through what had to have been close to 1.5 gallons of this "stuff"...looking for some diamonds in the rough (pun intended!). A lot of this was end pieces from the seller slabbing "stuff" and then tumbling those end pieces. I took the time to carefully make slabettes out of pretty much anything wider than 1/4". Some material is less than 1/4", but I think I can still make cabs out of everything. I know there's some Montana Agates...lots of petrified wood...there's one piece that looks like it has Marcasite (third pic top left)...several moss agates...some banded agates...maybe a couple Brazilian Agates. All in all, these should make some pretty cool cabs eventually. Just thought I'd share some pics. Nice pieces You should make a table top I already did. It was in the first picture. Did you like it?

Nice! Lots of variety in there.
Looks to me like the 3 orange moss pieces could possibly be Mexican flame agate.

Thanks Robin! You might be right on those being Mexican Flame Agates. When I was cleaning them up, they all said "Gracias!". (Thank you. Thank you. I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip the wait staff!)

You've got some cool stuff, and you may even have two pieces of marcasite.
