Dang roy, now I have to go fishing again. Two week camping trip on Clarks Hill Reservoir SC coming up this Sunday. No walleye here, have to visit my brother in ND to get some. Fish: Redbreast sunfish, Striped bass, Channel catfish, Largemouth bass, Bluegill

I used to love fishing. Unfortunately, the places I used to haunt are no goes now. Need to find some new honey holes.

That is a mouthwatering picture!
Is there a finer eating freshwater fish than walleye(or Dore as they are known as in Quebec)?

Not fair to post that at dinner time. Best freshwater fish will always be walleye. Born and raised in Minnesota. Summer in a small boat, winter on the ice you can not beat walleye. Barramundi form northern Australia is a close second but you can not beat fresh walleye. My mother would freeze filleted pieces in milk cartons so we would have them year round.

Yum! Man I have not walleye fished in almost 40 years! My last outing I had a horse on the line (easily 30 inches) my buddy got the net all Tangled in a docking cleat, the fish hit the surface, tail flipped, and snapped my 20 Lb test line. We ended up with a half dozen smaller fish and had a great fish fry, but that horse still haunts me to this day lol.

Nice catch!
Nate and I went out yesterday and it was a no go, the waters are so low and warm. 1st time the both of us have been skunked and I mean not a nibble from anything.
Trying again today
