Double post! I'm just excited to be in a community where I can share my finds and crafts. Yesterday I went to one of my favorite spots down my street. Next time I go I should take more photos of the area but for now here's all that I've found down there.
A lot of little red pieces. I believe they're a sort of agate, but a couple members of the club have told me I've pulled out garnet from down there too so I can never tell anymore.
Some more red, I love the little highlights of purple on this one.
very pretty orange, the purple streak runs all through the middle.
the backside of it.
Some cloudy red and white.
Some cloudy brown and white, the brown agate is my favorite from down there in the creek. Every piece looks like a little galaxy
The backside of it. It turns to such a dark brown its gorgeous.
A little piece of quartz with red lines in it. A lot of pretty colors of quartz down there too. Usually it's rosy, white, and gray.
I don't quite know what this stuff is but there's tons of it and I love the layers. Cuts pretty easily too so its soft.
The very first piece of the day actually, this one stunned me it was so gorgeous. this is the side that was underground so I didn't even know it was yellow until I washed it.
This is the side that was sticking out of the ground, it's such a dark red almost like candy.
I'm pretty sure this is quartz, I love the gray it looks like a slab of cake the way it formed.
Another red piece, It has opaque white on the back of it too which I didn't realize until I washed it.
Another brown piece, looks kinda like chocolate.. maybe I'm just hungry.
I pulled this one out of the wall, I love the white going through it.
That's all of my favorite finds of the day. If anyone has tips on what exactly I'm looking at that would be great. I'm pretty sure it's just agate though but maybe in another post I'll show off my garnet chunk! I love going down to my little creek it's always soothing and has such amazing finds.
