Out of curiosity, whats you're take on this material? From your experience, how sought after is it and just how common is the stuff (I personally have't seen a ton in circulation)? I've seen some for sale on ebay, and it appears to fetch a good price if thats what people are actually paying for it. Just wanted to gauge what you all think about it and if its material people would like to have more of. Thanks Also... complimentary chunk for those who aren't familiar with it (rough).

I love this stuff! No it is not very available and yes it is desirable.

Bat Cave is awesome when cut. I've never personally had the pleasure of cutting it, but Tela and others on the board have. It always turns out beautiful.

It is very cool stuff! After seeing a cab MsAli made with it, I bought a small little chunk of it just to try out someday.

Thanks for the links I found those but was trying to get someone to post something to this post to add to it. I did not want to steal someone photo and repost it.

I genuinely appreciate the replies. Gives me useful info for myself. Other than just talking rocks (which I love doing) this site has been a very valuable resource in helping me categorize material.

I'm sure I speak for a lot of the members when I say- we have appreciated and enjoyed your posts, too. Keep the eye candy coming.

It is one of my favorites!
Nate and I purchased a box of rough and it is a pain to get all the matrix off, but man is it worth it.

Nate and I purchased a box of rough and it is a pain to get all the matrix off, but man is it worth it. if you don’t mind me asking, do you know the price per pound you paid? I’m trying to estimate a fair price on the stuff. As I’ve seen chunks go for $165 that are around the same size as I posted. Guy at my local rock shop sells for $15 a pound but he said he never moves any. Truth be told, what’s going on is that I’ve been going through and cataloging all my rough and setting prices on it. I have two 55 gallon drums of the bat cave, and thinking I want start parting with some of it. Any info you can provide (or others) would honest helpful me out tremendously. I also apologize if this isn’t in the right channel.

People who choose to help can, those who don't want to can move on and the rest of us get to learn something and maybe see something we don't often see.

I didn’t even consider that. Feel free to delete this thread if you want

I completely forgot I have some of this variation, but for those of you that aren't aware, bat cave "did" come in a green variety as well. Thought i'd share for those that haven't seen it. Here's a smaller sample piece.
