So, I work for a state agency in the law enforcement division. I have officers all over the state, I asked them all to send/bring me a rock from their district. I thought it would be a fun team bonding thing. I didn’t think that it was too hard of a mission since they are out in the wilderness anyway. Safford officer just brought me a Saffordite! Here the current collection. I still have a lot more coming to me in the future.

What a great "group" project!! What are your plans for all the rocks once you get them in from all the districts...display as the are, or work them in some way?
Edit - I just looked up Saffordite...you need to tell that person they need to contribute a lot more from their area! LOL -

I know once I get all the contributions I am going to pull down the large map of the districts and send it to them all of them. I am going to throw some of the rocks from the Escudilla Mountains into the tumbler. I also need to clean up the pet wood and oil it. An individual at a rock and mineral show a few weeks ago used Aqua Mix Stone Enhancer on his pet wood and it looked fantastic. I'm also still trying to figure out how to label them all better than using sticky notes. I'm sure I'll figure something to do with them all at some point. I know. The Safford area is amazing for rocks. He said he runs into more rockhounds than hunters. I need to get down there myself to look for fire agates.

If you plan it right, you could do it during work hours and call it a "training exercise"! LOL

Interesting that you work in the field you do. My sister has worked for a couple of state agencies (second one heavy on the LE) for most of her life.
My sister likes rocks, too - but unlike you, she is just an "end user". I've contributed a number of items to her collection.

The supervision encourage us to do yearly ride-alongs. This might have to become a scheme to get down there.
