I just received my tumbler today!!! Can't wait to get home from work and get that thing cranked up. I ordered one of those newbie models - CE from Harbor freight. I wish I would have found this site before ordering it. I would have invested in a Lortone. Well, Christmas isn't that far away, and I have been very good this year. I have the fever already, need more tumblers!!! I am working on a homemade tumbler that will have 4,5, maybe 6 barrels? Haven't decided yet. I will hopefully have some pics to post in lets say.....5-8 weeks. Now I have to pratice my patience skills. Happy tumbling & TGIF !!!!! ;D [glow=blue,2,300]Brett[/glow]

Hello Brett,
Hey keep us up to date with your tumbler.
Your home-made model sounds great!

WTG Brett, good for you. Nothing wrong with the CE to start with, at least it's a "real" tumbler and not one of those toys with a plastic barrel. That sounds cool, having a tumbler that holds 5 or 6 barrels, let us know how it goes. [glow=red,2,300]Cher[/glow]

don't cast too many stones (aspersions? trying for the good pun) on the CE's, they aren't bad and to a point, good value for money....cheap is good and sometimes you get what you pay for, but then, anything that runs 24/7 will wear out in the end.....
i have spare belts and now spare fan plastics (the next thing that wears out)
hey, whatever works, right? KD

My CE tumbler ran 24/7 for 7 months, then the fan broke. Never had a belt break on the CE, but the belt on one of my 33Bs broke the other night. Definitely worth the $35 or so I paid for it! If I can remember where I put it, one of these days I will probably get a new fan for it and get it rollin' again.

Thanks to all of you for your support and advice. So far my CE is doing just fine. I did notice the fan was kinda cheapy. I will have to keep an eye on it. I am already looking at Lortone's model 33B and the 3-1.5B. Even if I do get a Lortone, I will still mess around trying to get my homemade jobby working. Thanks again...
