Yes - what James said.

If you go in edit profile > privacy tab - you can choose to display your birthday or not but can't edit the date. I believe it's because it's part of the PG-13 enforcement when you first sign up.

As a side note this is why the single most populated birthday among board members is 01/01/xx because a lot of people just want to blow past the field.
