This may be an old post somewhere but I couldn’t find one in the search sooo….
What is the best vibratory tumbler in you opinion. We are going to buy one so we polish faster then with the rotary one we have. So what’s your opinions, thoughts, recommendations? Thanks!

Hi Ashley, there are two that I would recommend, the Lot-o tumbler, and the Thumler's UV-10 (a mid size) UV-18 is big, and the UV-10 mini is small. I use the Thumler's UV-10 and it works excellently. Expensive? Yep, but you get what you pay for. Thanks for asking.

I settled on the Lot-O tumbler after doing some research. I tried a brass tumbler with the Raytech barrels and was just way to noisy for me.

I have the UV-18 and like it. I tumble my stones some in a rotary tumbler first though to soften up sharp points and edges so they do not damage the vibe tumbler barrel.

I LOVE my LOT-O. But I understand there’s a mini vibe that has no moving parts?? I wish I could remember the name…
Edit: reading other posts this morning. It’s called Ultra Sonic. Not sure if one replaces the other. It’s on my list of research to purchase next.

Just bought a Gy-Roc B in the 3# size. Initially, I was a bit chagrined at the size of the bowl, but after the "burnishing run" I was satisfied. I actually headed here to do a quick update and will do that after this. I had a used RayTec for a few months last year and decided it was too loud and too big for my needs. If I did more rocks, the RayTec would have been fine, but I'm pretty committed to not converting my entire garage into a lapidary center. The Gy-Roc is much quieter, but I've still decided to run in in 12 hour shifts anyway.
The biggest advantage of the Gy-Roc in my opinion is the ability to stack bowls. I haven't done it yet because I'm still in the shakedown (no pun intended) and hope I have a usable recipe.

So far my research has it narrowed down to the UV-10' and the Lot-O. Maybe one day we'll be able to buy a UV-10 🤔
