I tumbled a 3lb batch of mixed rough, then for the last 2 steps (cheap amazon polish followed by Rock Shed polish) I added some old mixed stones from my first batch that didn't really take a polish the first time around. And, . . . whaaa la . . . I ended up with some nice shiny stones. I was being bamboozled by the cheap Amazon "polish" all along. Ah - oh well - now I can use it as a nice pre-polish! These were tumbled start to finish in a lortone 33b: Shiny Stones
The picture with 3 stones in it - those are some creek stones we collected. I did a batch of sea jasper a while back using the cheap polish and they came out pretty dull (matte) - I think I will run them for a week in the rock shed polish to see if that will do the trick! Thanks for looking. Cheers, Dillon

Amazing what real polish will do, isn't it? Those turned out real nice.

I use The Rock Shed for all grits and polishes and consistently get the quality that you have obtained. Great job!
