Do you often carry a rock or worry stone with you? I usually keep a small stone in my pocket. I wouldn't consider mine to be a worry stone, rather a momento to remind me of a special trip or moment with a loved one. I rotate through a bunch of them and they are usually a rock my wife picked up and handed to me. Here's my current hitch hiker. Let's see what you guys carry around!

Can always find at least 1 in my pocket 🙃 Your post made me think of the nurse joke that has been around forever : "A nurse finds a rectal thermometer in her purse and thinks to herself “some asshole has my pen.” You can stretch this one out into a long story, but this is the short and sweet version.

I carried this one around in my purse for the longest time.
My granddaughter is hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain and France in a few weeks. There is a tradition to carry a rock with you that has some meaning for you. There is a cross shrine along the way where pilgrims are encouraged to leave a stone. My granddaughter has asked me to give her a stone to carry because she is doing it to honor me. She said that she thought that the hike was something I would have done when I was younger before I got "saddled down" with kids. I told her those were my decisions to make and I have never regretted them. Suffice to say she is a really sweet young lady.

Way to stick up for your decision to saddle up to being a mother. Kinda funny a grand kid talks to grandmother about taking on the responsibility of kids. As if the epifany that she wouldn't be able to gripe for you had you not had them babies. All that aside she sounds very outgoing, courageous and a deep thinker to associate her trip as something you would have done I notice you did not deny that, only that motherhood was a choice never regretted. Cool rock cool story and I pray your granddaughter health and well being in her travels! Johnny aGates.

They consider me their mother. I'm just happy I could be there for them.
She remembers when I used to do a lot of hiking. My knees and hips are shot now, but she remembers when I was more active. Now I just have to decide which rock to send with her. Probably the one pictured above. I've had it a very long time... maybe it's time to set it free.

Here's the one I've been carrying lately. It's a Sweetwater agate from Wyoming with a bit of a rosey hue.

I always carry around a small bag of polished rocks in the car to look at when I’m sitting and waiting to pick the kid up from school, or sitting at the doctors office. Also for the kid to grab if she wants to give one away. I do like to carry one in my pocket most of the time. They’re not as much worry stones as they are fidget stones for me. Plus, I can stare into them when I feel the need to zone out a bit. I have a lot of completed rocks near my front door entry area so I tend to pick something different every day. But of course I see that I left my bag of rocks at home and I forgot to put one in my pocket…so I am rockless today. Shucks.

Here’s a rock that I love that I found on the beach with my daughter. I have never seen one like it and hope that I find something similar someday out there. I love the size, the shape and the complex pattern and it’s soothing to hold and look at (for me at least).

I carry around a duffel bag of rocks everywhere I go. Never know when I’m going to get into a discussion about rock and need to bust them out. Got rocks on most my coworkers desks. Got rocks in my car too.

I have no less than three to four in my pocket at all times! I’ve got many cases and bags I can choose to take with me when I go places! Never pass up a discussion about rocks and educate and be educated. Also like to show off my pieces. Love trading and bartering as well! When it comes to rocks I’m obsessed

I can't carry it in my pocket because it would quickly fall apart, but this sandstone tells a 100 Million year old story of a comet that hit earth, the shock waves moving each element at different speeds, separating iron from sand and water to create these patterns at great depths.
