The general shape and the brown spot showing on the end in your 3rd image makes me think it's possibly a limb cast. Reminds me of some of the fine casts I used to find at Texas Springs NV but they were pink chalcedony.

Could be a chunk of diatomaceous earth with an opal inclusion.
Really need more info such as hardness.

My first impression is White Fir Springs, Oregon thunder egg Youre probably correct. I have a bunch of white fir that look similar, and have that same yellow jasper on the inside. You can see a little in the end poking through.

Awesome! Thanks lot! I had no clue this was a material at all! Just some stuff kicking around my pops rock horde. Even he doesn't remember all the names of what he has. I have slabbed up one nodule of this stuff and it's pretty. You can see that in the slabs section. I'll update it I thought it was something else. Johnny aGates
