Well I've been Jonesing for a Vibe for some time now. Earlier in the year we all got raises at work and it jumped my base pay by about $200 a week. Now the smart thing to do would be to increase my retirement contribution (which I did by doubling it). But I have also been putting in 4 to 6 hours a week overtime. Needless to say this summer has been a very easy (financially) summer (the wife works in a school so she doesn't have a summer income). Any way I told her (ok asked, ok begged) her to let me get a Vibe (hmm that sounds bad) tumbler. She finally agreed (it's like she knew they were out of stock everywhere). So while I wait for this supply chain issue to go away I stumbled across the cheapest Chinese vibe wanna be. It's is the Legool 5 Lb metal cleaning vibe. Ye Yea Yea. I know. But with 15% off it came to $74. I mean unless the thing does not work at all how bad could it be (I guess I will find out!). Best part is that we had $85 in Amazn rewards points, so it cost me NOTHING? Guess we will see how it works. Oh and my Thumlers Model T froze up this week. I tore into it and got the shaft freed up. Cleaned and oiled it all up, but 24 hours later she is squealing again. I WD40ed it (I hate using that stuff as it really is only a temp fix). I have a bad feeling that after 17 plus years it may be getting ready to retire (at least the motor- I will more than likely try to find a replacement motor). I am so far behind in my 3lb barrel runs (I have 3 barrels of 500 waiting to run, 2 barrels of 120/220 waiting to run, and A bunch of Carneliean that I want to run separate from everything else) so I really can't afford to have this tumbler go down.Thanks for letting me ramble. I appreciate you willingness to experiment for the rest of the group on a cheap vibe.
And dare I say, those dog pics are better or at least rival rock pics... very cute dogs!

I am not a big wiener dog fan but if I had two like that I would have to get them separate beds shaped like buns with a blanket that looked like ketchup, mustard and pickle relish.

Worst case is it's crap and don't last long.
Best case is it lasts long enough to get a better one.
Coolness factor is either way, you tear it apart and build it better than you got it and it didn't kill your wallet to give you something to play with.

I had to look that one up further.
I'll also say that I'm glad to see someone going to try it out.
I recently got a cheap Chinese rotary, and it's still going strong (after a new belt).

Hmmm, maybe put those dogs to Work for their keep and get a better vibe, or maybe just a second vibe, or maybe get all the vibes.

Oh sure, people call animals "fur babies" and everyone's OK with it, but I call ONE child a "skin dog" and suddenly I'm a "terrible person" and "the worst pediatrician in this hospital"? Kidding, but that always pops into my head when I see cute animal pics. They're adorable! Keep us updated on the vibe situation. For under $80 I'd take a chance too! |
