This final thread will be for all those quartz gems called usually titled with a jasper name and mostly opaque in nature. Examples would be Stone Canyon Jasper, all the poppy and orbicular jasper types, other brecciated jasper, solid and banded jasper and even various rhyolite forms. As with the other state threads, feel free to include some incidental gem material that may occur with the quartz gems and when in doubt as to category, go ahead and post the pics and Lowell and I will sort them out. Indian Valley Jasper, Big Sandy Creek, Indian valley, CA. This is just over the hill from the Stone Canyon Jasper site and many of the types overlap. Huge water worn boulder of Stone Canyon type brecciated jasper from Big Sandy Creek. Indian Valley Poppy Jasper:

Hauser Wash Jasper, Wiley Well, Imperial Co.CA This jasper actually occurs as a filling in Hauser Wash thundereggs and is a porcelain type jasper very similar to the Bruneau and Willow creek forms of Idaho. Cab:
