I'm in there with Ellyn as well. The name is rather "extensive," and gorgeous agate works just as well or better for me.

Is this selling on eBay? From the same scammer that was selling small pieces of "rare pseudomorh Crazy Lace Agate" for $20/lb? I don't see any sagenite either, and it's not a pseudomorph.

I don't see any sagenite, nor pseudomorphs...it is a beautiful stone though.

I know this seller. I have bought his stuff. He is a Turkish version of a backwoodsman. He is not very sophisticated at all. In fact he has ruined a few deals with me because he keeps stepping on his own tongue. If you forget his words and go with your eyes and gut you will in all likelihood be happy with the deals.
He is telling me that some items in the lot have sagenites in them. I am trying to convince him that he needs photos of every piece if he is to claim pseudomorphs and sagenites and whatever else.

no, I thought you had my guy in Turkey. I found the other thread and the link to the California guy. There is a Turkish seller using the same terminology and he is my friend.

here is a "real" picture of the colors There is nothing that is white nor anything that is black in this image. It leads me to believe the contrast is off. It sure makes the stones look dull compared to the top image. That photo does have blacks and whites. Too bad you were unhappy. Did you try to work it out with the seller before giving the neutral feedback??

I looked into this guy a little bit more. I wonder if he isn't the guy that was selling mesquite branches that also stole a bunch of rock from a well respected member here. I dont remember his name, but also don't want to say it because he has a google alert set up to advise him when his name comes up.

I would be entirely unhappy - especially at the cost of $30/lb for the shipped material. here is what I get making reasonable/automatic adjustments for the oversaturation and hyped contrast of their image, and the dullness of your image: The material still does not look that attractive - especially as a lapidary material. If there really is a sagenite psuedomorph, it could have specimen value. But I can see ugly vugs and many soft areas that will surely undercut. But, maybe you can resell the rocks to one of several people at the top of this thread who rushed to pronounce it "gorgeous" despite obvious issues with the photo, and visible issues relating to soft spots. Perhaps one man's trash really is another man's treasure paperweight.

yep and the issue is its not even 1/2 pound in weight - little over priced nuggets of agate
I can still cab and wrap and make up my $$ in jewelry sales with out selling them overpriced for what they are

Yup, I think Rich nailed it. Looks like the stuff from the Ankara sp? *L* region in Turkey. I usually has a lot of those weird psuedomorphs, tubes , fortifications etc all mixed together....Mel
