Ok,I'm going out on a linb here.....My wife says its a guy thing. I've never noticed till she brought this up! Ok,when a guy makes a sandwich(most guys) and everything is ready to go on the bread and (or) toast, you place the last piece of bread on the top,right... Ok,do you all try to match the top of the bread to the bottom piece of bread or just flop the bread on top and start eating??? My wife says, most woman match the top to bottom.I never ever noticed if I do or not,she says I don't..LOL Now I do it on purpose to drive her crazy...LMAO I've asked my brother inlaws too, they just flop it on too, either way.... Hey,ya',I'm bored this morning....LOL ;D ;D :cheesy: :2cents:

my OCD demands that sandwiches be made with sequential slices of bread, filling placed between sequential slices and stacked sequentially to maintain uniform graduation between slices. fillings must not overextend beyond the bread crust. sandwich is then sliced perfectly in half, diagonally from corner to corner.

Yeah, I'm OCD prone too. My stuff has to match, everything in the same exact order every time etc. I'm pretty much a broken toy *L*. Don't get me started on checking gate or door locks...Mel

Oh, it has to match! I have a fetish about symmetry - asymmetrical drives me nuts! Tom

Yup, has to match, bread has to be in sequence, not bothered about how the fillings go, but the bread has to be right.

I'm a matcher too. And a little OCD about the condiments. Ketchup/mustard is always on the meat side, mayo on the cheese side.
And its ALWAYS mayo, not that miracle whip crap!

Gotta match the bread slices top to bottom, but man Mike, I'm surprised you didn't remember the jalapeno slices.

My OCD also demands my pieces match and I put the piece on top to match the bottom! LOL

I am a matcher too. And don't get me going about miracle whip, it brings back traumatic memories. As a hormone charged teenager I had the most beautiful girl in the world (at that particular moment) offer to fix me a sandwich. As she put the jar away I saw the label, but way too late. Was I going to offend the most wonderful young lady to ever notice me? No Way! I ate that sandwich with a smile on my face, probably a goofy one since, after all, I was a teenage boy. I can't think of a way to describe that sandwich that wouldn't get me kicked off the board. I may still need therapy. Lee

When I was a kid my grandmother tried to pass that stuff off as the real deal and never tell me. Multiple times! You'd think that after she pulled that once she realized that I would notice, but no. It was like Russian Roulette on rye. And I'm the same way with pickles and relish. There is no reason that sugar should be in there!

Okay, I'm also guilty. Both halves of the bread have to be oriented the same way. The money in my wallet (when I have some ) also is precisely arranged, facing forward, top edge up. It is also in order of denomination, with the larger bills to back, ones to the front. Sounds like we're all a bunch of whack jobs, huh? Do you think that this is a necessary quality for doing lapidary work? Would you say that it is attention to detail? Or just plain crazy? LOL! Jean Edit to add - Mike, as far as being a guy thing - I don't think my husband notices things like that, so I disagree (respectfully) with your wife. EDIT - Oh, I misunderstood. I DO agree with your wife. She is right, I think MOST guys don't care about stuff like that. Forgot to add about the Miracle Whip - I was raised on that stuff, my mom still uses it. But changed over to Best Foods mayo when I first met my husband. Can't stand Miracle Whip now, don't like the sweetness. Lee, sorry to here that you were traumatized in your youth! THAT explains a lot...

LOL, my first though was "OCD" ;D But honestly, I always match the top to the bottom too. It's like when we cab stones.... the slightest imperfection and it's "back to the grinder"..... or rock garden if it's bad.
