Very nice, another superb project. The pendulum cab is certainly an eye catcher. Thanks for showing the project as you progressed on it.

Thank you Quartz and Tom!

The clock by itself reminded me of a small shield and then the pendulum is also way above & beyond!! Excellent work my friend.... Excellent!! The last pictures which show the coloring of the face of the clock and the darker hands is really nice...once again... Excellent!!!
The BBQ looks awesome too!!
Thanx for sharing it all!! Mario

Hello, again! I finally finished the clock these days, adding the wood frame around the clock and around the pendulum. Then I painted the wood with some dark colored wood stain, and this is the final result: And a picture showing the place where I hung the clock on the wall - close to the fire place. Thank you all for looking and for the patiency in following the progress of this project. Adrian

Excellent, and it fits so well where it is on the wall. You thanked us for our patience in following your project, to my wife and I, a good definition of patience is: Adrian's projects.

holy cow, are those pet wood logs from Europe? Or did you pay frieght from the uSA?!?! They're from here, Scott. How could I possibly have been shipping such monsters from overseas, using the postal services? Impossible. The biggest log you see is in fact not mine, but Karen's (karenfh). When she visited us back in 2011, we made a deal: all the rocks we found in our rockhounding trips while she was here were going to be hers. We found this log in one of those trips, and she witnessed the struggle of extracting and hauling it but she told me she would let it here at me, to take care of it . As I give names to the important pieces I find, this one is - how could it be something else - Xylo-Karen Adrian

It is possible (with prior planning) to ship air cargo for about $2 ($3) a kilogram.
Your story is much nicer!! I wasn't aware Europe had pet wood too. I thought it was a north american thing.

...I wasn't aware Europe had pet wood too. I thought it was a north american thing. Scott, in my collection I have small pieces from all continents, excepting Antarctica. And, as far as I know, there has been found pet wood in Antarctica, too. If you say you think it's a north American thing, then you haven't seen my pictures posted here from the Petrified Forrest of Lesvos Island - Greece. There are also stunning pet logs from Indonesia. As far as I know, in Argentina there's a small town/village with some of the central streets paved with pet wood sections. So, you see, those three examples are very good reasons to plan some trips in the future. I hope your first one would be in my area Adrian

Adrian,
That is beautiful, such a grand piece deserves a grand place such as you chose for it to hang.
You do amazing work, every project is AAA quality. I am amazed at how 'well rounded' you are, all of the different areas of expertise that you have knowledge of, you are a master of many technics.
