It just arrived, however i will be unpacking it tomarrow... I need to bring it to where i will mostly use it first... I also need to put the wheels on it. I wish i could use it at my house but there are some people that think rocks and anything dealing with them are only good on driveways.

Glad to hear that your machine arrived today as scheduled, glennz01 !! When you get it set up tomorrow, please take some pics and post them on the forum so we may see it. Forgot to ask if you have any coolant? Imagine minds will change once they see the materials you cab on it.

WooHoo, glad you are getting your machine ready to roll! glennz01, here's an instruction manual for the Graves Cabaret. Although the Cabaret has a different water system than your Graves 6 Wheeler, I think you can use the manual to set up your wheels. gravescompany.com/Caberet.pdf

Stupid question, are cabs always flat on the back or can they be rounded on both sides They can be whatever you want - whatever your vision for the finished piece is. Double sided does require a bit more skill and thick skinned fingers because at least the second side has to be done by hand vs. being mounted on a dop stick. PM me your address and I'll also send a SFRB of practice slabs your way. Tommy It's a bit tricky, but there's no reason you can't dop a dome, I've done it numerous times.

From a previous post: If this instruction manual doesn't help, please post pics on the forum to see if members can help you set-up your machine. glennz01, here's an instruction manual for the Graves Cabaret. I got the spacers... now the only question is what order do i put the spacers on so they fit correctly? glennz01, not sure, but is this what you are asking? Maybe please post pics? wheels left side - 80 grit (diamond), 220 grit (diamond), 280 grit (flex) wheels right side - 600 grit (flex), 12k grit (flex), 3k grit (flex) Looks like you received a top cutter 360 grit, and a Quickie disc with polishing pad. "assemble them as follows: Cutting is performed from inside the wheel to outside the wheel with three wheels on each side. On the left side, slide on one 1x3/4 washer and then the COARSE GRIND STEEL (80 grit) wheel and a narrow spacer. Slide on the FINE GRIND (220 grit) steel wheel followed by a wide spacer and the COARSE SAND NOVA/FLEX steel (280 grit) wheel and another 1x3/4 washer and the retaining nut. Do not tighten at this time. The wheels should be separated by approximately ½ inch and the nut should be flush with the end of the wheel. On the right side, slide on one 1x3/4 washer, the FINE SAND (600 grit) Nova/Flex wheel followed by a wide spacer, the PRE-POLISH (12k grit) Nova/Flex wheel, a wide spacer, the POLISH (3k grit) Nova/Flex wheel and another 1x3/4 washer and the nut. Spacing between the wheels should be approximately 1/2 inch. The different spacing between wheels and size of the spacers results from some wheels having wheel hubs of different widths. You may need to experiment a bit to get the wheels spaced correctly. After all wheels are on, hand - tighten the retaining nuts using a rubber pad for a good grip; or use slip pliers. Do not over tighten! Should there be vibration when you first start the machine the wheels may be out of balance, similar to tires on a car. On one side at a time, loosen the nut until the wheels spin freely. By hand, spin each wheel, allowing it to stop by itself and mark the bottom of the wheel with a Sharpie pen. When all wheels are marked, position them so the marks are juxta-opposed; this will insure the weight from any heavy spots will be equally distributed. One last thing, gently spin the 6 polishing back-plate into the 1/4x20 hole on the right end of the shaft."

glennz01, after reading the manual/instructions again, I'm wondering if Graves has the instructions bass ackwards for placing the wheels and washers on the right side since the machine is a dual arbor?? Edit - left side... Think airhead (me) has figured it out, the wheels are in the incorrect order? On the left side, slide on one 1x3/4 washer and then the COARSE SAND NOVA/FLEX STeel (280 grit) wheel and a narrow spacer. Slide on the FINE GRIND (220 grit) steel wheel followed by a wide spacer and the COARSE GRIND steel (80 grit) wheel and another 1x3/4 washer and the retaining nut. Do not tighten at this time. The wheels should be separated by approximately ½ inch and the nut should be flush with the end of the wheel. --------------------------------------- The right side should stay the same. ?? Well i have the wheels on and got it onto a desk... just need to get the pump system on and figure out how to get it placed so it drains correctly.
Fpf anyone that has a cabbing unit do you plug it directly into the house socket or do you run it through a breaker socket (or buy the breaker socket that goes over the indoor socket) ?
