James you need an angled rounded plate that you can clamp to the opening to help empty the tumbler. It could be made to clamp to the lip of the pipe............MrP

Thinking about it you take a smaller 1/2 pipe, put it in against the back side facing a little up and to the left to catch the rocks. Ah heck you will figure out the right way to do it..............MrP

That was a sloppy unload !! Attach it to the stub, I see it. It may bruise the rocks in the barrel as it drops in level, they were banging hard. Oh, here is the mud and sludge. Best to tumble to get rid of the loosest coating before adding abrasive:

What a way to dump a tumbler, open it up and go have lunch. We got a laugh out of that one. Works, and that's what counts.

I knew you would figure it out.............................MrP When that barrel spins 1/4 to 1/2 half empty in the vertical position, it sounds violent, like a long fall for the rocks. I suppose I will get it figured out MrP.

I think you should put hexapod legs on it. Then you can control it from afar. Make it walk around the property scaring small children. Plus you can tilt and lift with these legs.
