Today, I learned that it is possible to cab when you are taking xtra strength percocet. I slipped a lumbar disc in my sleep, or something close to it. Didn't keep me from cabbing, though. I had started the Moroccan seam agate a few days ago, but I had to stop and use a little glue on the girdle. I couldn't wait to see it finished, so I decided to chance it with painkillers. Funny thing about pain killers- when you are in pain, they don't make you feel stoned. Blue G Lawsonite- Ya love it or ya hate it. I like it a lot. It is much more blue in person. He was calling this grade A, I believe. I have had some that orange peeled, this did not. Willow creek. I've had this preform awhile, but was hesitant to cut it because it was so thin for such a large layout, but it worked a charm- no problems. Nice big Gem Owyhee In person, you can see the peach and blue better. Nice oj Ugly ass tiffany stone. I know that salmony color is supposed to be rare and all, but I don't like it. Gorgeous Olympic Poppy Jasper. Andy got me started on this stuff and now I'm hooked! ... and last but not least... a super sweet eye popping Moroccan seam agate. You have to see these in person to believe the wild colors! Amazing stuff! Thanks for looking!

Gorgeous again Tela. But the dirty fingernails are a big distraction. Have you been playing under the bridge? Jim

Wow, you sure make nice cabs, and lots of them! You have some really nice material, several you have posted lately I was not familiar with.

BCUI Beautiful cabbing under the influence. Do you notice some agates being harder than others ? Or how hard the lawsonite is? That shit is very hard. Makes jade seem easy, at least it did for me!

Using that gorilla grinder is revealing on how hard(or tough) a rock is. Lawsonite, 1st stone up on Tela's lineup.

Lawsonite, 1st stone up on Tela's lineup. Yep. Took 60 hours to make a 3" sphere. Agate that size is about 15 hours. Jade 18. I gave one away and have the other by my bed in the event i need to crush a skull. Would love Tela feedback on toughness.

When I bought the blue g from Kris, I got a sample pack- a little of each grade. Grades seemed to be determined by color, mainly. The one pictured is one of the better grades. It is very hard, but I wouldn't compare it to agate. However, that doesn't mean some of it isn't as hard as an agate. I have cabbed some of the lower grade and it didn't polish as well and was not as hard. It tended to orange peel, like jade. The cab here cabbed very easily and wasn't "chippy" like an agate or hard jasper. I wish the color would have showed up better. The color really is quite nice. It does look like a robin's egg- complete with speckles. edit to tag jamesp and @shotgunner

Still alive and well in Texas use it on a daily basis. Dave I think people are more into pipes now and less into the good old fashioned rolled herbage.

what is the hardest rock you have ever cabbed rockjunquie ? Believe it or not, I believe it was a Mookaite. But, Montana agate is pretty high up there, too. edit- come to think of it, bloodstone has probably been the hardest.

Still alive and well in Texas use it on a daily basis. Dave Hey! I remember the Dobbies! Which Doobie you be? Sorry Tela. I find it very interesting you wouldnt call that stone tougher than agates. For my it was way, way tougher. Not even in the lame league. Even tougher than the black jade we have here.

A lot of beauties there, but the Willow Creek is my absolute favorite.
Get well with your back soon!
