Opened again. Not quite 3 days. Maybe 4hours short...
No grit remains.
Slurry still milky. Added a cup of grit and a cup of kitty litter.
Stones are rounding nicely. What was almost 100% fill, twicewas, now almost half volume. Giving it another 3 days. May be adding stones again.

Did another charge of grit today. When i opened the cleanout about a cup of gravy vomited out the opening! No grit, just frothy slurry. I poured off a pint or more, added grit, a cup of kitty litter and a pound of stones.
I am refilling the entire barrel, as the clay will become slurry leaving airspace in its absense. Lots of room after 2 days.
I love that I can hear the grit cutting, and 2 days later, I cannot.

Did the motor fry on it? They have a Facebook page and one of the first posts is from a reloader who liked his results but added that the motor got very hot. Maybe you should comment, I'm sure they welcome feedback

For some reason I thought this one *was* a scratch-built tumbler...I musta ate pizza too late at night or something. You gonna get your wood and screws at Lowes? www.surpluscenter.com....great source for parts via jamesp recommendation.... What size are you thinking about?

I have all but home depot stuff to build the rotary. Not gonna make a thread. Nothing noteworthy to report. I will add a pic to Indiana's thread with one little tweak i made to her geometry.

Maybe you should comment, I'm sure they welcome feedback I dont do facebook. But the drive belt rubbed on the shield from day one. So it was destined to fail. Also the shaftes dont have bearings. They have bushings. Constantly spraying litium grease on them, stinking up my garage with perc. Yukky.
