Always love the shine and the rocks and the glitter and the glamour! But I keep on forgetting about the coin: I've got a family collection that goes way back. Is your 1859 self-collected, inherited, or purchased or gifted? Just curious cause I love the piece. Lowell Lowell, this was inherited.Have a variety I need to start using. The only time I look at them. snuffy

WOW... I love those colors! Especially the red and yellow. Hey, what is the green rock in pictures 4, 5 and 6? I think I just polished a similar rock. The large one in pic 6 is Gary Green jasper.4&5 are a mixture of green moss and Indian jasper. snuffy

Very nice! Quite a variety. Like the very red with black stripes jasper(?). Those 2 are South African banded jasper.

Oh yeah!Aound our area,we always planted a Santa Rosa and a Methely,to better pollinate the Santa Rosa. The bad part was the trees never lived long in our area, and late frosts would get some of the crop. I can still see my little kids grazing off the plums.Havent grown any in years.Cant beat the taste

Keep em coming! Your tumbling gives the rest of us something to at least get "close" to. Do you cut all of your slabbettes yourself? I bought all these slabbettes and assorted sizes from an old rocker. He used to make windchimes among other things. He had several barrels full,I ended up with 400-500 lbs of the Brazilian slabs.I asked him if he cut all these,he said he bought them already cut. snuffy

Has anyone ever heard of tumbling you rocks in 60/90 only? I heard that you can run them in 60/90 for 5 weeks straight and that is all you need to do? Any comments? I have heard of some doing that.I haven't myself.A larger tumbler, say a 6 or 12 lber would do it with more grinding action, better than a small one.I do a 2 week run in my 12's on the last 60/90 charge, and they are ready for 1000 in loto. But I've got a barrel of obsidian that I'm gonna roll a month or longer, will see what that does. snuffy
