Welcome from Indiana! Just make sure that the girl friend carries her own rocks. She'll learn that the farther you go, the heavier they get!

Checked Google for super 7 rough, and got directed to Ebay. A guy in India was selling a chunk for over $200.00. Said it was mined in India...... Looked a lot like a chunk of red capped Thunder Bay amethyst (and not a very good piece) to me. Pretty sure it was/is mined in Brazil. It is. What he had was not super 7/ cacoxenite in amethyst. He was trying to dupe some unsuspecting new-ager.

That's why I like lost wax casting! What mistakes? Yeah, but you can't cast that Viking knit chain. Those things are awesome! True, but if I tried it and screwed up (which I probably would), I have a way to "bury the body".

Gorgeous!!!! I don't know about you, but it would take me a lot of courage to make a chain like that in gold. Hats off to you! I'd be so paranoid about messing up all that gold. That's why I like lost wax casting! What mistakes?

If you don't vote, you have no right to complain. My Mom used to get really bent out of shape about Ronald Reagan, but she hadn't voted since Johnson. then she would REALLY get bent out of shape when I would tell her "no votie, no bitchie!"

Haha. Im thick. Its a variety of cocaxenitemin amethyst... Im on it now. Thick as a brick. amethyst, quartz, rutile, smokey quartz, goethite, lepidocrocite, cacoxenite, and sometimes hematite Dave Per the new-age folks, it is supposed to have the "powers" of all seven stones, even if all seven are not present. (Anybody wanna sell 'em some nice Arkansas quartz? ) Very similar to a material that showed up about 20 years ago as "beetle leg quartz". It was heavier in the lepidochrosite and hematite, and lighter on the rutile and cacoxenite. I'll be in Cincy. on 5/7 and 5/8 and try to get and post some pictures. The dealer that has it will be there, unfortunately she only has it in finished pieces (faceted).

At a 10 year high school reunion a group of ex-cheerleaders were overheard discussing birth control.
The first lady said "Because of our religious beliefs we use the rhythm method. Ended up with seven kids."
The second lady said " We used condoms, must have gotten a couple leakers, ended up with a couple kids."
The third lady said "I was on the pill. Forgot a dose, and came down with twins!"
The forth lady said "We use the bucket-and-saucer method and never had any problems with pregnancy."
The other ladies said they had never heard of this method, and asked how it worked, so she explained; " I married a man a full foot shorter than I am, and insist that we have sex standing up. To do this he has to stand on a bucket. When his eyes get as big as saucers, I kick the bucket out from under him!"
