This is me and D. I've decided to post a photo so you know who's the crazy lady asking so many questions. It was taken NYE 2014 - if I waited any longer to post it, it will be over 10 years old so its now or never! He's got a full beard now, basically because he has a baby face. (We were almost 40 here - almost 50 now. lol But this is two halves of the tribe   Damn! You look great for almost 40. You look like a youngun. LOL! Agreed. I was thinking they were in their 20's in the pic. |

You’re good for the old ego! he’s always looked way younger than his age - he had to grow a beard because nobody took him seriously at work (contractor)! I had a bit of a complex about that. He was still getting carded well over 40 - not me.  it always made me soo jealous! |

tribeunited thank you, ma’am! Or do you prefer Missus D? 😆 My kitty is sure a snuggler! He’s an ex-feral that was scheduled for euthanizing due to being “antisocial” when a no kill shelter took him in. When we adopted him he was being advertised as not fond of people but good with other cats. Yeah, my plan of getting our other boy a playmate to reduce my work backfired! Instead I had the other guy ONLY wanting to play with momma, and this guy glued to me 24/7! He is soooo antisocial that I had to sleep with him the first night in our home because he was too lonely. He’s a sensitive boy and gets depressed when he feels rejected, so I think the shelters and foster homes were just too busy with other cats to realize how lovable this guy is if he gets the right attention. The other boy (passed away 4 years ago) was also a feral that was really sensitive to rejection.

I loved your stories about the kitties, you seem to be a truly kind soul - cabby is pretty inside too! ❤️🥰

cabby and rockjunquie - I guess we are all birds of a feather! I felt the same way... I said, I'm me! I'll always be me! Plus I didn't like the idea of being passed off as property. however, I'm not dissing the ladies who do change their names - it would have simplified things as cabby said and I understand the wanted to be "one." How about a compromise - make up a new last name for both. I would have picked something like "fantastic." The fantastic family - yeah, sounds good to me.

I have some friends that combined, such as smith-Johnson or smithson. We had no plans for children so didn’t care about our surnames. Was easier to just leave them as is lol |
