Rose, are you from Wales? I've never known an Angharad who wasn't Welsh...

Kristi,
I don't follow sports too much either but try to keep up with my Cowboys. Actually, my Dad is a KU grad and my Grandad is a Wildcat (UGH!) so we constantly have a friendly wager going.
Being a KU grad, I'm sure you know the background and history of the "Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk" chant and it's tie to the local rock formations?
Keep wavin' the wheat.

This is a great thread!!!!!!! What a way to learn about your fellow rock heads!! Mine's pretty self explanatory, I'm kinda' porky, and my name is Rich. Nothing too fancy, it's been my nickname for a 20 years. So don't feel too bad Tonya!!! Rich PS. I'll post a pic if you all will

Oy, I wasn't going to do this, but collegial pride demands it, particularly after seeing the name kurocks. The obvious part of my handle is because I live in Texas, Houston to be exact. The tiger part is because I went to Mizzou. I hereby solemnly promise, however, no flame wars with any other Big 12 school alum. Kristi knows how hard this will be. (Maybe not so hard after the bball season we had! LOL!) I also wanted to take a moment and say that I appreciate this board and the people on it. Thanks, Mark, for operating it and thanks everyone else for the guidance and kindness.

I chose this name when I first began playing online games (Everquest is my main addiction). Most of the people I play with are younger... hence the Mom part. And I am from Texas... so there you have it.

Collegial pride? Well, yes, I have some, but I'm not combative about it. So I promise not to taunt graduates of rival schools (unless they deserve to be taunted for some other reason). Kristi

Very cool thread and interesting.
Mine comes from my cb days, been called Rosebud since '77, the MN is for Minnesota. When I first moved to the town I live in and started driving logging truck, no one in town even knew my name, but they all knew who Rosebud was.
Cher
{edit} I changed it from RosebudMN to Cher in my profile. You're login name doesn't change, just the display name that shows in the posts.

Mine's too complicated to describe but the Champ part comes from my college days in Wisconsin where we won 3 National Ice Hockey Championships.
I work w/ computers and always incorporated the champ part in my passwords and it found my way into my "handle" I guess. I feel kinda stupid having the champ part in there, but it's kind of familiar now. It's my Ebay name as well as my handle for other boards. I'd just prefer to be called Gaetz or Gaeter!!!!
I don't think I'll be posting my photos anytime soon however.
later, gaeter

(bump) Well, I liked this thread and we have a lot of new people now so I'll start it again. My screen name is Joe. It's the name my mom gave me. Completely unimaginative and boring!. So what's yours??

Now that I have changed my display name ... Cher = Cheralyn which came from the fact that my parents couldn't decide if I should be Cheral (family spelling) or Marilyn so they put them together.
