We have been trying to get a house for over 8 months now. We wanted to stick to a lower price in this area and everything that we tried to get close to our work, well, we were either outbid or in most cases they would choose a different loan over our VA loan. Since we don't have to have a lot of cash up front, banks on short sales or foreclosures were picking the ones with the most cash down and it didn't even have to be a higher bid...It was really getting crazy and we were ready to give up! Well, my husband said I saw this listing but it is about 24 miles away and it is a regular sale. Think we should look at it? Well we did get our realtor to meet us there and even though it is an older home built in the 70's, I really like it and they accepted our offer!!! Now, we have already had the home inspection and the well and septic have already been certified in good condition so now we are just waiting on the VA to do their inspection. Looks like we may be in by Dec 16th. View from our drive way The screened in patio A tree in our back yard The living room. I have no idea if the piano will stay or not The family room The screened patio The main bath The dinning room The kitchen And this is the best part. MY GARAGE Now, the packing begins.... Fran

Wow, beautiful house!! And big!! The the property is awesome!! Very cool find, I'm sure that you're gonna be happy in there. I also see that you have room for a big saw, some tumblers, a Genie, a flat lap, and a couple tons of rough. ;D

Yep, I forgot to mention it is on 1 1/2 acres. It isn't fenced...yet. It is in pretty good shape and has just some minor stuff to fix, which is fine with us! Fran

Wow, Fran - I'm happy for you. Looks like you found a "home" rather than just a "house". Very nice looking place. And looks like a back yard full of rough waiting for your discriminating eye! WTG.

very nice. by the time I was done looking at the picsI had already yanked out the sparse shrubs in front and put in flower beds with huge rocks ( coral of course),lol and extended the front porch. I love the back porch. DO they put the a/c units under the houses up there? I know your excited and keep us posted on it and when you move in, you can do a documentary for us,haha

It is rare to find a one story here. Everything is 2-3 and my husband had knee surgery before getting out of the Navy ( not to mention my knees are going) and the stairs here can be a bother so we were really excited to find this one and get our offer accepted! The central air system is in the crawl space. It is a pretty deep one, about 4 ft I would guess. One part is out by the garage and the other under the house. The pump system for the well is also under there. The shrubs are all large and would look better around the property borders. The pic of me by the tree, you can see a neighbors vehicles. Our property line goes right up to that parking pad so it is pretty big. We will have to fence at least a part of it right away for our two dogs. Thanks for looking! Fran

Wow Fran! That's awesome, especially that you'll be in by Christmas! What a great view out the front (are there horses out there?) and that garage will make an awesome rock domain. Love the tree in the back yard. I see a circular rock border around it with a rock garden at the base of that tree. Great screened in porch too! What a great place to sit and wirewrap! So happy for you!
