ok, that's just way too neat and orderly!! Where's all the miscellaneous stuff! My garage appears to be the scene of a collision between a scrap metal collector's truck, the UPS truck and a load of rocks from some quarry!!
Seriously, very impressive, One question, where's the Frig?

My garage appears to be the scene of a collision between a scrap metal collector's truck, the UPS truck and a load of rocks from some quarry!! Seriously, very impressive, One question, where's the Frig? H Thanks. My work areas are spread into three spots. The area shown above is cabbing and wire wrapping. The tumblers are all in a more secluded area of the basement where noise is less of a concern. Slab saw and silver solder area are in the garage with the fridge. Slabbing is slow and a bit boring so the fridge comes in handy out there. Chuck

Well, certainly makes me cringe. Your new bamboo table is awesome. And the layout seems to put the tumblers around the corner away from the den space. All good ideas. But the cleanliness of your shop had me speechless, and my eye was drawn to see what was on TV! Sorry!

The tumblers are actually in another room basically right behind the dart board wall. It isolates the noise from the main area pretty well. I need to add some more support under that shelf I added on the bamboo workbench. I used 3/4" oak plywood and had planned on running full length 3/4" steel rods under it but that would raise it too high to fit three containers so I Guess I'll just add more legs for now. There's a few hundred pounds sitting on there already. Chuck

Probably some 1"x1"x1/8" angle iron front and back would solve your problem. Home Depot stocks it.

Nice neat work area..........I bet it doesn't stay that way often, does it...... I bet it does. You're either wired that way or you're not and I'm guessing most things he does are like that...tidy, organized. It leads to better productivity, except all the time spent putting things in their proper place. It's a blessing and a curse. Mostly curse.

Nice neat work area..........I bet it doesn't stay that way often, does it...... Garage RockerFor the most part it does stay this clean. I just spent the last week trying to empty out all the flat rate boxes into clear containers. I also put about 25 percent of what I had into crates to be dumped at my cottage. I find myself getting pickier about what material I work on nowadays. If I am using the genie or the trim saw and I know I am going to use it again the very next day I may leave it dirty but if they are going to sit for a few days they get cleaned. While I really enjoy working on rocks I have no intentions of being a rock hoarder. I have been pretty active in this for the last 5 years and what you see in these photos is pretty much my whole collection. My self collected pudding stones are the only exception. I do have a hoard of those in a rock garden at the cottage. Chuck

< wondering how long it takes to drive to Drummond Island > 5.5 hrs from my house to the ferry dock. Usually right at 6 hrs door to door. Made the trip 10 times this year. Usually only get up there 5 or 6 times a year. About about 24 hours from your place. We do have a good sized airport though. Chuck

LOL, I took a little break about 14 years ago to get organized. Didn't work. Still organizing. It was some of the pictures I have seen here on RTH that made me realize how out of control this can get. Trying to stay ahead of it as long as possible. Need to spend about another week labeling stuff. Chuck
