Just now. Pup stuck with head out thankfully for 10 minutes. A scare. Wife held Mama, while I tugged on pup at Keema's contractions. Just call me Dr. jamesp. Yuk, slimy. gag-barf, but worth it. Prefer tumbling slurry any day. Gonna be a long 48 hours. Wife just injected calcium gluconate to increase contraction rate and strength. First pup has it rough, has to bore the orifice so to speak. Oh yea.

Not that seriously qualifies as being BUSY!
Hope the rest of 'em go smoothly.
Would not care to trade my day for yours.
ETA: Kinda figured this was what the In Another 6 Days thread was about, just didn't understand how you could know so precisely the due date of a dog.

"just didn't understand how you could know so precisely the due date of a dog." 63 days after day of ovulation. No matter when bred. Day of ovulation determined by progesterone test of drawn blood. Testing important because people bring dogs from all over the country and either we house them or they stay in a hotel for 1-2 weeks. Duration of stay dependent on accurate readings of progesterone tests. captbob.

Gloria(Mama's owner) and Denise got it under control. I'm not to be seen or heard. 11:20AM ET, 2 girls/2 boys. Mommy being an angel. Sitting in a trance squirting them out. Getting feedback from all the experts, apparently I am a good baby extractor. Situation was not good. Ice tongs did the trick. I asked for a dry thin cotton worn out T-shirt so I could get a grip without expanding Mommy's equipment. They were suggesting a wood's maneuver Guessing 8-9 judging girth and height of Mommy. And imagery.

We took our pugs to the vet for an x ray to determine puppy count. Extra cautious as sometimes Pugs do not deliver the last puppy and female is lost due to infection

Hey Jim you can give them a shot of HCG to make them ovulate. Also a shot of Oxitocin to promote harder labor or milk letdown. Denise knows all this, probably you do too. So if I head to Az the first of Jan can Susan and I stop and hold puppies, eat pizza, and camp in you front yard??? LOL I love to visit yall, oh I forgot the homemade biscuits up the street at the gas station. Oh and sorry but Chips is in Az, he staped behind, sorry Denise I know you connected with him!!

We are at that stage radio. 7 pups, is there any more. She is getting ready to shot her with Oxitocin. We have had to do c- sections. Oxitocin less obtrusive. My dogs miss Chips too. That was one sweet horse. After you went to bed I hopped on Chips and visited a hot filly down the road. She still cries for him. Charlie's does have the killer biscuits. Been there forever. Busy every morning. Sounds like the nomad is stirring...
