I mailed my five out on Monday. It was frustrating which ones to pick. I had my mind made up on which to send but kept reevaluating my picks. Out of my originals I planned on sending only 2 made the final cut. Instead of sending the rocks I liked the best I sent what shined the best and had the least flaws. I’m still wondering if I shouldn’t have sent my original picks in lol. I honestly think they were better but one had a couple tiny pits and another had variegated material so part of it shined great and part was just ok. Oh well it’s up to the judges now lol. Good luck! I hope one of us places (or even better, wins!) . Mine are out of the burnish sometime soon. I just realized I won't be able to send it next week so I'll have to see about sending it tomorrow. Family is coming Thursday too! Geez. What did you use to mail yours back?

Yeah, a few of mine had tiny pits as well. Not sure what the judges think of those. This is one of those kinds of rocks where you tumble away one little pit only to reveal two more; similar to much of the rock I find out here in Utah.

I just got finished washing mine off. I've got my five picked out, but couldn't find the address/instructions for sending them back. I probably just missed them, so I'm sorry if I sound ignorant. Also, what type of packaging do you guys use to send them back? Thanks, Nicholas.

Stiff cardboard CD/DVD mailers work great too.

Perk I mailed mine in a small flat rate box. Almost did the padded envelope but I’ve received shipments of those where they were torn and the contents were missing. Good luck to you too and all the other members here who entered. Odds are good that someone here will place imo. Overall I’m happy with how they came out. It was hard to send out the best one; the one I posted the pics of with the little wormy fossils in it.

Hard to spend so much time and maybe take a liking to one or two of them, only to never see them again.

I thought I responded to you a while back, but I guess not. Good luck, I hope one of us gets the win. I know I could buy a lot of rocks with $350 soooo... I wasn't all too sad to part with mine. I've still got a couple rolling in coarse. Stubborn suckers.

Wow I tied for 4th place! Almost had this one! I can’t wait to see the pics of all the winning rocks. I was proud of the job I did on them and apparently it was a pretty good job😌 . Looks like I will be in for next year lol! Actually I was gifted with a pretty good batch to start, I saw some of the stones others received and know they can’t say the same.

Sam won the contest in my basement. He's been tumbling rocks with me for a few years now and decided to enter the contest this year. He is seventeen years old and doesn't have any of his own equipment, so he uses mine. If you watch my videos, you've probably met Sam. He's the kid who finds more agates on the beach and makes me look bad. I keep dragging him along to the U.P. every year anyhow.
Matt emailed me to thank me for teaching him how to tumble through my videos.
So the first place winner is not on RTH, and I don't know about Matt, but they both learned from me and I learned everything from RTH, so there's at least a connection.
