About a year ago I picked up this Palm Wood slab from my friend's shop. It was laying in the corner almost covered up. Finally decided to polish it on the Vib Lap. It measures 14 inches across by 12 inches high and 1.5 inches thick. It took 7 cycles through coarse to remove all saw marks, after that it went through the normal time for each steps and about 30 hours to polish. I will probably end up selling it as displaying it would be difficult. Apologize for the picture quality as it's been a cloudy/misty day. DSC_0439 by Findrocks, on Flickr Most excellent job!!

A few pictures from the BBQ:
Matthew (second from left) next to his dad, TheRock , Vince and Frank:
The chow line:
Christopher christopherl1234 and his wife and kids were there, as well as Brian beefjello and Rodney were also there, but I was too busy yakking and forgot to take pictures.
We had a great time and met a bunch of great folks! Now we are extremely tired and going to crash. Tomorrow I'll put up pics of our haul (we went a little overboard) when we get home and unpacked.
Thanks again to Tony catmandewe and Chris for putting on such a great event and all the work that goes into it!
Enjoyed spending time with you and Vince! Man what a beautiful day it was yesterday. And yes, Tony and Chris deserve major kudos for hosting and feeding the masses out there!!

Glad to hear you had a good show - and a great weekend for a show, too! Yeah, Ben and Carol are members of the Prescott club who've gone into "show business" for real. They're always doing a show somewhere, and will be set up at the Pow-Wow this year.
Yup they have a top notch set up. Carol's definitely a hoot! We'll be out at the Pow Wow Saturday after next.. hope to see you guys at the BBQ!
