After you get the cab made, throw it in some bleach! should bring out the growth rings. That really works? Be hella cool if it does. I ask because I know how I am and that sounds like some funny crap I'd tell someone to do to see if they would do it. It works on some and not on others. there is only one way to find out and it is cheap and easy. do it after polishing tho. the bleaching effect does not go into the wood very far at all. |

24 still running great, got one bearing that is a bit noisy tho. It is making the cut as I type!. the squaring cut I am making would be good material for carving, if one was so inclined! |

 thought about taking slice off of this softball sized piece of oak root material. may yet. need to make a cab from this Stinking Water white plume one of these days.  |

 Thought I had a slab off of this chunk that would work but it was too thick and it is polished so taking a squaring cut and then will cut one for making a cab. |

woodman probably has some, but they're most likely already polished into gorgeous specimens. woodman better post some just so I can see them finished. I have a stupid amount of the material. However….. it’s all in the rough. I just don’t have the guts to cut and cab any of it. Get to work on it or send it to someone else that is braver!  |

All I know is, if someone doesn't make a cab out of stinking water golden oak, i'm going to be a sad camper. The detail in that material is top notch. probably has some, but they're most likely already polished into gorgeous specimens. That will give me something to do!!! I might have a piece or two laying around! |
