The thing is, when I saw Bob take that fall, it was not his fault.
That god-damned rock came loose and slid under him.
No way he could have possibly saw it coming or avoided it.
But he got right up, cussed, and kept on keeping on.

All are welcome at his dinner table. rockpickerforever Jean, not a shotgun. It was the magnification of her eye that made me nervous when 3 stories up on the edge of the roof. Call it punishment for a particularly irritating discretion of betrayal performed by me in my younger years. Giving thanks for her forgiveness to this day. Never asked if she clicked the safety off. Today we laugh about the event. Life goes on.

Hope Bob is feeling well. He might be real sore after the doc performed his tasks.

Hope Bob is feeling well. He might be real sore after the doc performed his tasks. Thank you, James. He felt really good early yesterday. But by the time he went to bed last night, he was feeling the bruising around his groin where they inserted the equipment into his femorals. Purple last night, but going to be lovely shades of yellow soon. One of the half-inch 3/8" incisions started leaking, we had to put pressure on it to staunch the flow and put on a new bandage.

Those femoral bruises are the worst!

I suppose the next couple weeks there's going to be some ups and downs. I hope you guys were able to get that booger of an incision to close up!

The third day always seems to be the worst with regards to bruising. Consider bracing for a Bob in peak pain the latter of day 2 and all of day 3. Bet you guys are relieved to have all this behind you. Strange, I had to have two teeth pulled Monday due to an old injury. Hurt like crazy for 6 hours and then the pain just disappeared. We never know how our body will react to such stimulus. Remind him to remember to take his antibiotics for the full 7 to 10 days if prescribed...

Bob said they had some issues with it on Wednesday after the procedure. It was Pablo who had both inserted the tubes, and taken them out afterwards. He had to put pressure on both of the incisions, at the same time, to get them to stop. He told Bob doing so was painful for his hands. He said he goes home at the end of his shift with tired, painful hands, said he must massage them to get them to stop hurting. Thankfully, it didn't take a half hour of pressure last night.

Everything got shut down during Covid, but the Prospecting group we belonged to is starting back up and going out on trips now. They had a trip scheduled in the Mojave, up by Randsburg a couple weekends ago, but had to postpone it due to cold temps, wind and RAIN! In the desert, dry washers are mostly used, because hauling large amounts of water for a high banker is a PIA. Can't use them when the ground is wet. I think he needs more time to recuperate before he jumps right back in it. But you can bet he will before too long.

Maybe you should tell Bob it's just a "flesh wound". Glad you got it stopped!

James, they did not prescribe antibiotics for him like they did when he had his stents put in. They double checked with us which pharmacy we use, but did not use it. I even asked several different people if we needed to pick up a prescription, and was told no.

Good morning, Jason. Bob is doing fine this morning. We are having coffee out on the patio right now, the sun is out and it is starting to warm up. The first thing I asked him when I got up was how he slept, he said fine. I asked if he had any more seepage during the night, he said he did. Guess he didn't hold pressure on it long enough before going to bed. He applied pressure to the incision on his right side for 1/2 hour, like Pablo had told him. That did the trick. Sometimes it pays to listen, SMH.
