Yes it is Snowmom. I owned a Model A semi street rod back in the mid 50's. It was my high school car. I've owned a couple more since then, but always dreamed of the day when I would own one that was built the way I would have built mine if I had, had the money in my high school years. Back in those days, I was on the pit crew for a drag roadster owned by a friend. I was only in my mid teens, but back then you could drive a drag car with your parents written permission. I never got to actually race the car, but several times I got to make practice runs with it. What a blast !!

I cropped a couple pics of the engine. This ladies and gentlemen is what a built Model A Ford looks like. Drivers side. Passenger side with plastic pots inverted over carb stacks to keep dust out.

Nothing sounds as good as an old flatty in full song. Just noticed yours has rumble seat...and blue dot taillights. Classic.

Back in my drag racing days, we called the 4 bangers growlers, because of the sound they make with a header and straight pipe. I still get goose bumps when I hear one of the old Indy car Offy bangers run.

A few new pics. Maybe more later. 32 Ford dash in a 30 Ford with Moon stainless insert and gages. 37 Ford "Banjo" steering wheel on Model A steering column. Top of engine. Too much sun glare on view finder. Couldn't see what I was shooting. Last owners 1957 High school parking sticker. This is part of the cars history, and will stay on the window.

Well, not exactly. I've had a 29 Ford roadster pickup since then. Also a 21 Dodge Brothers touring car, and a 23 Studebaker touring car with a big engine. But Model A's have always been my first love. Just traded my '27 Dodge Brothers touring "rat" away a year and a half ago, traded it for an '84 GMC long bed 3/4 ton that someone had chopped coils outta the front and lowered the ass end so much that it wouldn't clear an ant hill, then traded that for the '50 Ford Custom line sedan that I am trying to sell now, non runner but straight steel car LOL

LOL. I had a 21 Dodge Brothers touring back in the 60's. Followed that with a 23 Studebaker touring on boxed Model A rails with an Ardun overhead converted late Merc flathead. Wish I still had that one. It screamed.

We restored a 21 Dodge Brothers car,it took about a year...From top to bottom..(had to do it after hours) My old boss owned a contruction/roofing Company, but was a car nut too...It was a blast and educational too....I should see if he would send photos of it...

My baby just got a 15 mile shakedown cruise. Little bit loose in the steering department, but Model A's are easy to adjust. She sure got some looks in town.

Well, you managed to survive the wait while your new baby was being shipped to you. Congrats on your new obsession, Don! I guess the wife's gonna let you live - for now. Tell me that you will let Jake ride in it? I'm sure he'd love it. (Don't forget that dogs are chick magnets, lol! As if the car isn't a head turner enough.) LOL. The wife got her revenge. She went out and bought a brush hog and a lawn tractor for herself. (She can't handle my big John Deere lawn tractor). At least she didn't bring home another new sewing machine.

LOL, you cheated.
I was lucky enough to know Big Daddy personally. Last time I spoke to him in person was at the Good Guys car show in 1995. We moved to S.D. in 96, just before the next area show. He passed away unexpectedly in 2001, so any chance of talking with him again was lost. For as successful as he was, he was a hell of a nice guy, (in a crazy, kind of warped sort of way). The last time we talked, he had a partially completed 34 roadster on display. I can't find pics of the car anywhere, so I wonder if he completed it before he passed. It would be easy to spot because the front grill shell was from a 27 Dodge Brothers car.

Gonna rattle some cages at our local car shows. New window decals just for the modern hot rod guys.
