Very nice pictures of your special cacti and of course, the stripped kitty! I love my Montana wild flowers, but I have also taken 1,000's of photos of Arizona cactus flowers when we are down there for the winter and spring. Their color variations never ceases to amaze me.

What a great selection with no pits of blems, and the shine is outstanding. SUPPER JOB!

It truly is a very nice piece. IMHO, I think that it would show much better with a little more contrasting texture and color for your photo background. Give it a try and see if you like it better that way too.

Keep em coming! Your tumbling gives the rest of us something to at least get "close" to. Do you cut all of your slabbettes yourself?

Hey Beef!
I am probably too late for a decal, but that is OK...I guess? The real issue at hand is 6,000, 6 grand, 6K? I am barely that old! Congrats Beef, and thanks for all you have added and shared with this great forum.

Very pretty stuff Chris. I find it amazing that you get such a good shine on the softer material. Maybe it isn't soft, just crumbly?

your first piece is exceptional! It looks like something that would cost $1,000's of dollars. Oooops, maybe it does! It certainly has a very rich look to it.

OK, here goes. I do not know how to transfer one picture from a post to another post, so....here is the url that christopherl1234 made showing the fire agate pendant that he cut and wrapped for me. If this url doesn't take you to the pictures, then I guess it just didn't happen! forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/60551/fire-agate-wrap

Thank you, thank you, & THANK YOU, Chris! I am very pleased with what you provided me on this special order for my wife's B-Day coming up. To any of you folks out there that don't already know this, Chris (christopherl1234) is a wonderful craftsman and a great guy to work with. If you are like me, and lack the skills to turn out such a beautiful piece of stone and jewelry on your own, Chris is the man to make contact with! I can not say enough about my pleasure of working with Chris on this project.

Welcome back from a northern (Montana) neighbor. No wonder I'm having trouble finding Montana agate. ; > )

For sure make the company head representative make a personal trip out for an inspection. If they even hesitate to agree to your demands, get a lawyer, quick! Also anything that is promised, make sure it is in writing. Being a biologist, I can tell you that the plants will suffer permanent damage at the very least, and most likely will die. The soil needs to be replaced to a minimum of 8" to12" due to the vapors that will move down into the soil. The longer they leave it there, the deeper it will travel, making the soil barren.

OK, for what it's worth. First off, I am just about as far off from being any kind of a rock expert as one can possibly be. I have collected something that is almost identical to that which you have shown. It was collected in the Bear Paw Mountains which are in north central Montana. I have a piece that is probably 175#'s in our flower garden. I also have a couple of smaller pieces scattered around our waterfalls and pond.
The thing that really made me notice the great similarity to my rock, is the slight brownish tint (almost like an iron oxide) on some of the edges. The color and spots are identical. I believe that at one time I was told it was a basalt....after I had told someone it was green granite. (giggle, giggle, what did I tell ya!)
So there you are. I have told you exactly...NOTHING. The only thing I can add to the mystery is that the same material can be found in the Bear Paw Mts of Montana!

Very nice! When I showed my wife, she said that she thought the stone must be what kryptonite must look like! Look out Superman!

Great wildlife shots Geoff. Your photos make me want to break down and try to figure out how to post photos on the forum. I have lots i'd like to share, but this photo posting is all pretty new to me. I do have a Photobucket account, so that is a start!
