Tela do you teach classes? This lowly Padawan bows before your Jedi wrapping greatness All your pieces just have this neat flow. They don't have a million wraps of wire over everything. Your pieces all have a clean, tight look. The proportions are perfect, everything is straight and even, except for the round parts Sophisticated is word I am looking for.

I like the rhodonite the best. I see an evil face in it. The left eye has an eye patch over it, the right eye has an eyebrow pointing down and he has a straight line for a mouth. The black on the bottom could be the beginnings of a beard. Maybe you could call it the Pink Pirate Wonderful work as always.

We will be driving through Arizona in August for vacation. Are there any good rock shops I can hit between California and New Mexico?

Maybe when it gets cooler we could have a RTH field trip to Lavic and the Cadys and get to meet eachother and find some cool rocks? Would anyone be interested?

My latest creation. It is from a slice of a geode I picked up at an estate sale. I wish I knew something about where this stone came from because it has a great pattern that reminds me of the Arabian Peninsula.

I share your pain, that is an awesome cab! Sometimes a rock is just a rock. Sometimes a lumpy, ugly, brown hunk of dirt you almost didn't pick up has something truly wonderful inside. Sometimes it is that one piece you agonize over which part to ruin while you make the cab. I hope somebody gave you top dollar for that one.

I love the black dendrites, they remind me of lightning.

Usually I use the template to make a bunch of dots 2 mm above the bottom and then I play connect the dots to make the girdle line. When I try to free hand it I usually end up with a dip in the middle of the cab. I like the idea of keeping the pen stationary and moving the cab. It sounds more precise.

Here are most of the rest of the crosses. To my surprise the kids receiving them were excited.

I love Montana agate. It reminds me of moonstone with its translucence.

Two weeks ago it was 100 degrees in backyard in San Diego. Hard to believe some people are still dealing with snow and ice.

Roger for your first set of cabs you did really well. I wouldn't share pictures of my first creations. I had to bury those stones to put them out of my misery :) I enjoyed your comments almost as much as the pictures :) I still have days when I say "oops, ouch!, crap" and a few other words questioning the parentage of the stone that just cracked, disintegrated or escaped through an previously unknown interdimensional portal somewhere in my garage. I think that is where single socks disappear to from the dryer, but that is another matter. Keep up the good work and remember that you can always bury the evidence and deny everything when the rock does not turn out the way you want.
