I let that one run for 2 hours with 1000. t looks good enough to stop going on. After I finish running all 7 through the 1000, I will hit them with 3000 just to see if it makes a difference.

I was mistaken. It was 500 they were rolling in. Now they are in 1000 though. I decided to see how that comes out. It seems that the finer the mesh, the less time they need to be in the machine.

The first batch is running in 800 now. ASMoF, the last one is running 800. Soon they will begin to roll in 1000. They are already beginning to shine real pretty. I hope the sun comes out some day soon so I can take them outside and see what they look like under the sun. Hopefully they take nice pics too.

I think I am going to leave the flat spot alone.

I have a sphere preform going on the 40 grit cups right now. It was made with a rock lathe and has a pretty good sized flat spot on one end. I could totally remove it, but it would make the sphere about an inch smaller. If I leave it go, it will be bigger, but have a flat spot which means no stand needed. What would you do? I remember Irwin well. SUPPOSEDLY we were the first ones to kick the hell out of OP4. I seriously doubt it is true though.

That was a good idea. I borrowed the parts off of the smaller one I have and put the big one together. I did two preforms in less than the time it took to out the tool together. It is really windy here right now so the dust blew away at a rapid pace. Didn't even smell it except for the one time the wind died for a few seconds. On the second sphere, I thought I was half way done and it turned out that I was completely done. I should have taken a video.

I sell my slabs at a much lower price than most others. I sell quantity of quality, instead of a few quality at a high price.

Dillon figured it out.
Spindle adapter.
I think I am going to go with a different route after looking at them though.
