I was told to take the chryso and put it in water for a few day before cutting. The water will fill the pores and the oil is repelled.

In all seriousness, I actually did find an agate that was at least 100 pounds recently.
Mr P saw it if I remember correctly.

First day is over and I am above cost, so I made money. YAYY!!!!!
I hope tomorrow is better. I know my 4 foot long maple syrup sign didn't hurt either. There were two actually.

Well, I am almost all set up. This is going to be interesting because I have to have a tooth cut out and I will be likely on vicodin. I will have maple syrup too.

No, the only vertibrate fossils I have are some ice age mammal whose name escapes me at the moment.

I tap when I break rock. I exploit the natural cracks in the rock and let it break where it would in the saw.

Butt loads of slabs, lots of MT agate, mushroom rhyolite, fossils, fluorite, banded jasper, and a lot more.
I am in the process of getting the rocks set up because it is going to take a long time to get them set out and in good containers.
When everything is set up, I will try to post a video of the set up.

It will be on June 10-11 in Faribault MN. I will have almost everything I have collected up for sale. I know it will not all go, but the stuff that I am not touching might be greatly reduced. If you are in the area, stop by. If any RTH members show up there will be a pretty good discount.

I would have hoped that the dog and horses would have ended up in the Smithsonian.

The first day there were almost 300 caught. They are not going anywhere.
