. Harbor Freight Products are Good If you don't Use Them. I only use Lortone, Sears, Star diamond . The older One still seem to be the Best.

Yes it is solid. Runs steady. . The only Difficulty you have to Remove the belt and play with the Bearing To get it on and Off the carriage... The arm Is used to Pull on the Top pulley To get it turning. . When I got It there were no Belts. . I started using O ring.s. But later switched. . I had it Running for appox 6 Days straight. without a problem. I was really tring to Find Info . or some Printed Items showing some other Photo's Sal

I have a Model B Hi-Speed . It was billed as a Brass tumbler For ammunition cases. All parts are Identical as the regular speed except for the Hi speed motor. I found it a great machine for That with S. S. Pins .

Yes, There is a confusion with Inside and out side. . These steel drums have been a standard In the Rock Tumbling Industry since the early 1960/ . They are all the same size . Round steel drums with segmented sides. , wheather it is a Highland park, Scott murray, Star diamonD, Craftools,. Or Sears., and early lortones. They are all the same. They are Not rubber . . There not new . i happen to need a Few . Sal

10.5 inches across? 10.5 x 4.5 would be a LOT more than a 6 lb barrel. Thumler's makes a nine pound barrel that is 7.5 x 4.5 which would give you your 4.5 to fit on the rods. It's called an A-R6 (but it's a 9 pound barrel - go figure) maybe you could just order the barrel. At the bottom of this page: www.thumlerstumbler.com/rotary.htmlI've got a boat load of older tumbler barrels out in my shed, I don't recall any of them being 10.5 inches across though. Will check next time out there. Capbob I would be Interested in them If you can post a Picture.. This was I can see Condition. Sal

. There is No place to Get the Bushing. a Friend of Mine who is a machinist made it from a metal tube. and press fit it over the Motor shaft. . There always broken. I also converted one to Belt fed using new Lortone Parts . meaning a New Motor pulley from a model 3A and a Rod pulley from a Model 33B using a 3/16 O ring. After all the time effort and money It was not worth It. So how easy was it to fit the Lortone pulleys ?. Were they a "drop in " fit or did you have to play and tweak them to fit and also was there enough space back there for them ?. sorry for all the questions but this tumbler will work again if it kills me , it's gotten personal with me by god ( no offence meant). Thanks Salpal48 for the item #'s I appreciate it and please tell me " even a caveman can do it ",,
I wish I can say a Caveman can do it But No. It is Really not worth the Time and effort. . The motor Pulley will fit easy . and The Belt pulley will fit easy. you will have to respace the motor to handle a small Belt. . That means Re drilling the case and moving the Motor..It sound simple. but very Time consuming. . Tools, Tools, and More Tools. Your best Bet sell it on ebay as Parts. some One will buy It and The rubber drum is Ok. Sal

I thought I'd start the hobby off inexpensively, so I bought a Thumler's Model T off eBay. It arrived yesterday, and when I plugged it in, the motor sounded like a chain stuck in the garbage disposal. If I put any pressure on the top case, it would physically slow the motor down. I thought there might be some contact or something so I loosened the bolts and pushed the motor down as far as the casing would allow, and then tightened back up. When I tried again, it was better, but still REALLY noisy. I thought maybe that's just how it is, so I let it run, and after about 30 seconds, it started to bog down and slow down, and I just unplugged it so that it didn't burn anything up. It is rivited together, so I didn't get into the case at all (yet), but I wanted to ask some advice. Is the motor shot, can I do anything to try to resuscitate it, or is it just throwing good money after bad? I looked online and it doesn't appear that they offer replacement motors for that model, but I suspect if I knew the specs, I could find something. I appreciate any thoughts/guidance. Before you dump this motor . I found that most are just gunked up or dirty. You can clean it. disconnect the motor and remove from tumbler. soak the entire motor in mineral Spirits. for a Day or overnight. leave the plug out side . . Turn the pulley several times. . next day let the motor Dry out either by itself Or with a hair dryer On Cool. Once dry Oil then Plug in. it should run well . do not plug in while in the solution It may smell a while but will go away Sal
