I'm a big dark beer fan. Would not waste my money on the big name beers in the USA. Bud, Miller,... Great Lakes makes a Christmas ale, packed with flavor of many types. It's only on tap or I have never seen it in bottles. The other one I liked, was again only on tap, maybe. It's called Bare Knuckle. I think from one of the big USA brewery's.

I'll get this started. I've posted this little guy before, and I think he was my avatar for awhile. But I found him laying face up in a karsty stream in North Georgia. I squealed with delight when I saw him and my daughter thought I was scared by something, but couldn't understand why I was moving toward it. I think the first rock looks like (in the movie mummy) when his face was a cloud of sand and was going to eat that ship that could fly.

Ok, it seems people are asking questions. So, Here's mine. Do you have AC? In the car. Did you use it? And did you wear your seat belt?
Why do I want to know... With no AC, you sweat your bXXXs off and using a seat belt, you were safe too.:)

Very funny. The best part is... His laugh. :) When something goes wrong, just smile and laugh. Getting mad or crying doesn't help.

A cheap way is by hand. Get the sand paper from harbor freight and use a good flat surface to put the sand paper on. A piece of tile works good. A spray bottle to mist the paper/ Rock. And time. Don't be in a hurry. Rough grit down to very fine grit. The finer the grit the better the shine. Have fun.

That seems like a good idea. If you never try, you may never know. Go for it.
If you ruin the stones then you learned but if you have good results you have also learned. Again, if you learn then you are a winner.

I would say buy the best, so replacement may be few and far between. Fix it once.

Deburring is the removal of sharp edges. Borax does the burnish process. Add it to every stage but the first. Some don't put it in the last but some do. The difference is very slight but the rocks may not polish very well.

I don't think it should be graded but... I give you an A + Good story, creative, action packed with no violence. Creative? It is a true story! I didn't make it up, it really happened. There very well could have been some violence brought by the elderly lady against the hat stealer if she didn't get it back, lol. She had some spunk! ETA - Oh, wait.. Which story were you referring to Dale? A few of them were related above. It is a response to fossil mans thread but your story fits in the same category.

Fryer basket could be the answer. Go to a store and look at the cooking utensils section. It might give you more ideas if you need some.

I was thinking of a butterfly net, putting two together would make it stronger. But strong enough? Cheap and easy but strong enough, maybe worth a try.
