WARNING - OLD THREAD RESURRECTION
This is an oldie but a goodie, (one on my threads, duh) and still relevant.
I was "in the zone" this morning while walking. Had my headphones on, head somewhat down, blinders on (figuratively), making tracks. It occurred to me that is something my dog Lucy used to do. She would get in the zone, put some swagger into it, and just plod forward, like a linebacker. She looked like she was on a mission! When doing so, she would usually get this goofy grin on her face. My sister's pitbull does the same thing.
Dang, but I can't find a photo to share of her wearing that silly grin. I know I will never forget the face and body language. But here's a couple of her:
Nine years old, going downhill....
Chillaxing
Anyway, it made me smile to think of it, and her.
Any of the newbies, or other people that may have missed this, have something that makes you smile? Let us all in on it!
And to think, it all started with a free range sub-urban chicken, lol.
Jean Pitties make me smile!

Was cutting preforms yesterday,It was going great till I got to my central Oregon jaspers-it seemed for every three I cut (trim saw), one would break... Grrrrrrr, would rather a moss agate or petwood would break than jasper's...A few were "Biggs" too!!!! Oh well, part of the game I guess.....They will still tumble.... Michael, use a very light touch, let the lap or wheel do the cutting. Become one with the jasper. Let the shape flow from you to the jasper where you and the wheel become one. Use the force young Skywalker...... Shit, it will still look damn good tumbled too!

THANX ALL!
The May/June week was the earliest I could get this year. I hope it is early enough. Was there once before in July- won't do that again!

Greetings all!
Either the last of May or the First of June the Wife and I want to hit Arkansas to do a little collecting. She wants to spend a day at Crater of Diamonds, just to be able to say we did. The rest of the time we want to hit the "pay so much a day" quartz mines in the area of Hot Springs or Mt. Ida. I know about the Coleman operation, and was wondering if anybody could recommend others?

It's always fun to pass a polished one around at a gathering, then watch who goes to wash their hands after telling them what it is!

She wants me to take one aspirin a day and she is going to rush me into the Cardiologist. I don't know what the rush is. The rush is due to the Cardiologist having a payment due on the condo in Florida. When I had my heart attack I didn't have any fear. When they said my Wife had colon cancer I was scared shitless! Both turned out OK in the end!

Banana peels provide potassium for the blooms. And placed around the rose bushes will help keep aphids off the roses as they prefer the banana peels to the roses. Better to toss the banana peels in the neighbors roses! Then as a peace offering give him a couple japanese beetle traps!

Bought over $400.00 worth of rocks last weekend. Wife went along and paid the guy. Then SHE bought 50 lbs. of misc jasper and a 92 lb. chunk of mahogany obsidian for her "yard rocks". (Now, if I find "fire" in that chunk.......)

The bat was the Papa, the hummingbird was the Mama. You people are just way too uptight about mixed relationships! (JUST KIDDING FOLKS! JUST KIDDING!....)
