I too, really like the texturing. That is WAY better than ANY box of chocolates I have ever seen!

Thanks for sharing with us. I know I'd be in real trouble with my wife if I was there and saw all the wonderful equipment.

I tried a pretty large (baseball size) piece of pet-wood in my Lortone QT 12. I ran it from course through polish in the QT 12. I was surprised by the quality of the polish I got! It was too big to even think about getting it in the Lot-O. However, I have squeezed some pretty big rocks through a squished Lot-O neck. They polish great...the problem is getting them out when they are slick with polish and Borax! I think the secret is ONE big rock and then some 3/4" to 1" rocks, and then 80% pea gravel to top it off. Good luck!

NO! There must have been a reason that you were not to make the trip. Regroup, and find the "right" time and place to go!

The Robin's egg blue pet-wood always blows my mind! You certainly have a great bunch there. Thanks for sharing the Easter Candy!

If it is not too thick of a "rind", I have used Lime A Way in a little tub and let the rock soak for a few days. That works for the tumbling sized smalls, but not so much on the 100#ers!

What a great batch of rocks and superior polishing. How many other folks noticed the VERY suttle banding in the #11 stone. Ya gotta look hard!

OK, they're not rocks but they sure are purdy! Is there any way to make the colors swirl?

Thanks for taking me along on your trip Jean. I didn't find the night in the truck cab too cold at all...

Thanks for sharing. I had no idea that the Box Elder tree could produce syrup. I'm going on 75 and unfortunately can't say that I have ever had the opportunity to taste REAL MAPLE syrup. Maybe someday, but i better hurry and find out where to find such a treat! Pop over and jeannie and I will make you a nice breakfast with Marks syrup! How do you like your eggs? Bacon, ham or sausage? The syrup is worth the drive. It's divine. You are very kind NGR! It sure would be a treat, that is for sure. I don't see if ever happening, but maybe some day I can find the "real thing" for hot cakes at home!

I filled the bottom dimple with silicone caulking. It has lasted for 5 years now, and if the plug falls out, I can redo it in no time.
