Has anyone had good results with cleaning or rebuilding the Lortone 3A motor? I disassembled one and found it fairly clean. I tried using electrical cleaner and this did not improve operation.

When petrified wood twigs or limbs are tumble polished, their value is destroyed.

A lot of people have allergic reactions to cheap metal. I stick with sterling silver and surgical steel for earring posts. Labeling the post material on the sale tag helps with sales.

I highly recommend the Columbia-Willamette Faceters’ Guild. facetersguild.com/ They host classes at the Rice museum. ricenorthwestmuseum.org/ The class fee includes use of the faceting machine, synthetic rough, and supplies. You will have lots of hands on time with instructor direction or supervision. Most people are able to complete several stones.

This is a Hillquist saw. Looks like someone removed the automatic feed. I have a 16" Hillquist saw with the automatic feed that runs like a champ. www.hillquist.com may be able to help restore the automatic feed.

Does this material fluoresce under a SW lamp? If it does, what is the color and is it very bright?

I anticipate 3M Super 77 adhesive spray would hold the rubber disc on.

Any guesses on what RPM the rubber wheel is the the last four videos? 3450? 1725? I'm considering trying this with a variable speed drill press.

Connect the water line and the water valve will not spin. Maybe I'm missing something with your question.

How would I butt splice the ends to make belts? What type of backing is used so I don't have a thumper?
