Hi all the DVDs and book arrived Saturday I posted a note here but don't see it. Well Steve sent along two very nice bot slabs and a sweet slab of carnelian with very nice reds in it and a knapped obsidian point that is very well done. Thanks Steve you got a Karma point Saturday for that lol. Watched the DVDs they are awesome! Wife picked out two of the smaller Jade pieces she loves them. I didn't hardly get to look at them before she made off with them. Thanks Tony you get a Karma point when i get off here. Last but not least thanks to Gaetz for starting this and good Karma is on the way to you too.So send Me the next Addy should be done this week will try to get it out by the weekend. Thanks George

The box is off I mailed 2 box's off to Rocklicker both weighed in at about 15 lbs. I also included 10 dollars. so he could send it off too the next one in line where it goes from there is up to everyone in line to receive it. I told Steve if we decided to kill it that he and the next one in line can share whats left after he upgrades the box. So those in line do you want 2 boxes or just one. George

Hi all the box has been replaced and repacked with all except with what I have to put in it. Not much room left with what I have too put back in I don't know if its all going to fit. The Damage that was done to the box looked like it was from outside forces. The box was not really over packed but it may be when it leaves here lol. Don't worry Lecars I will see that it gets good reinforcement. Hope to get it out Thursday. Thanks George

Hi all the cache box has arrived, and I have spent the last 2 hours going over each piece was that ever fun. What a nice variety of rock in this box and is it ever packed. The box had a couple holes in the side but did not see anything broken the one hole was on the seam I could stick my 4 fingers right in the box. So it looks like a new box is a must. Hope nothing fell out I don't think it did it was very tightly packed. Well send me the persons addy who is next and I will get this together and back off soon. Thanks George

Lacars for your ease of it you would be much better off to keep it simple. Like 1st to sign up 1st to get box. I vote Steve to get box 1st for him coming up with the box idea, then go from there. I also agree with rockds thinking if you keep it in one area the rocks collected are all the same so it kind of defeats the realm of the box . George

Nice pics and nice looking family thanks for posting and big is better.I think southern Utah has the most spectacular scenery that i have seen in the whole country. From Zion to Moab its one jaw dropping scene after next. Have you been to the rock shop in Hanksville he has some nice big Dino bones with the ends polished that are a must see. He told me some places to rock hound to didn't find much was too into seeing the sights. I like Lake Powell and Stair Case Escalante N.M. the most. Have you drove up or down the switchback on 261( i think that is the road) wow what a ride straight up the cliff face. Thanks again wish it was closer. George

I could maybe swing a fall trip say Oct. weather better then too. Will go some where this fall for sure maybe Mt. Ida dig some quartz. Then on down to Big Bend area love it there nice rocks every where. Been to the ranch once just to get info. it was to late to try that day thought we would go back the next day but decided to check out Big Bend N.P. instead. So if any one is up to it this fall let me know maybe we can set something up. George

Thanks Slim and Cher been wanting to try some opal and fire agate. Just cant bring myself too spend that kind of money on something i know nothing about but you have to start some where. The local rock shop has has an old 1 quart mayo. jar 2/3 full with boulder opal he wants 250 dllrs. for it. One piece is 2 1/2 inch long and 1 1/2 inch wide with nice color all across it . I Would think this one piece would be half of the price of the jar many more in there that are mostly 1 inch size. Taking the wife over when she gets home as she knows more about opal than i do. This will be her first time there so maybe i can find some rough while she looks around hehe. So what too do about the opal what do the people in the know on this think. thanks for any input. George (PS any difference in the price of boulder opal say verses something from this guys listing of coober peady would help also.)
